Quality & compliance

Lingerie quality control & compliance

Quality on intimate apparel is decided on the line, not at the loading dock. At our Shantou factory we build inspection into every stage — from cutting through final AQL checks and metal detection — and back it with BSCI, Sedex and OEKO-TEX® documentation that your retail and import partners can rely on.

Our QC philosophy

Prevent defects, don't just sort them

A pre-shipment inspection only tells you what already went wrong. We put the effort earlier — an approved sealed sample, a clear tech pack, trained operators and in-line checks — so the final AQL inspection confirms quality rather than rescuing it.

Every order runs against a documented control plan with named checkpoints, defect classifications and tolerances agreed up front. Buyers receive a pre-shipment report with photos, and our 98% on-time delivery rate is tracked the same way.

Inline & final inspection flow

Six checkpoints from cutting to carton

The same flow runs on OEM, ODM, private-label and wholesale orders. Checkpoints scale with order size, but no garment ships without passing each stage.

01

Cutting inspection

Lay length, marker placement and grain line are checked before bulk cutting. Fabric defects, shade variation and lace pattern alignment are flagged at the cutting room so they never reach the sewing floor.

02

Sewing & in-line QC

Operators self-check at each station; a roving QC walks the line to verify stitch density (SPI), seam allowance, elastic tension and strap symmetry against the approved sample and tech pack.

03

Mid-line / end-of-line QC

Each completed garment is checked off-machine for measurement tolerance, label placement, trim and hardware function (hooks, sliders, snaps) before it moves to finishing and pressing.

04

Final AQL inspection

Finished goods are sampled to ISO 2859-1 (AQL 2.5 major / 4.0 minor by default, adjustable per buyer) covering appearance, measurement, color, packing and carton marking.

05

Metal detection

Garments with metal hardware pass through a calibrated needle/metal detector to screen for broken needles and stray metal — a standard safeguard for skin-contact intimate apparel.

06

Packing & pre-shipment check

Polybag, hangtag, barcode and assortment are verified against the packing list; cartons are weighed and a pre-shipment report (with photos) is issued before booking the shipment.

AQL standard

Final inspection follows the ISO 2859-1 (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4) sampling standard. Our default acceptance level is AQL 2.5 for major defects and 4.0 for minor defects, General Inspection Level II. Tighter levels (for example AQL 1.5) are available on request and stated on your order confirmation.

Certifications & compliance

Audited, documented, export-ready

Social-compliance audits and material certificates back what happens on the floor. We can share valid certificates and audit reports under NDA during qualification.

BSCI

BSCI social-compliance audited

Third-party amfori BSCI audit of labor practices, working hours, health and safety.

Sedex

Sedex SMETA member

SMETA-format ethical-trade data shared via the Sedex platform for buyer due diligence.

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 quality management

Quality-management system covering documented processes, traceability and continuous improvement.

OEKO-TEX

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 materials

STANDARD 100 testing confirming fabrics and trims meet limits for harmful substances on skin-contact apparel.

Market compliance we manufacture to

REACH

EU restrictions on substances of very high concern in textiles and trims.

CPSIA

US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act limits (lead, phthalates) for applicable items.

AZO-free dyes

No restricted aromatic-amine azo dyes in colored fabrics and prints.

California Prop 65

Screening against Prop 65 listed chemicals for the US market.

Material & garment testing

Testing that matches how lingerie is worn

Intimate apparel stretches, sits against skin and is laundered often. We test for exactly those stresses, in-house and through accredited third-party labs when a buyer requires a report.

Colorfastness

Wash, rubbing and perspiration colorfastness testing on dyed lace and microfiber so deep tones and prints hold up to wear and laundering.

Stretch & recovery

Elastic, power-net and spandex blends are checked for elongation and recovery so straps and bands keep their shape over the garment's life.

AZO-free dyes

Dyes and prints are sourced AZO-free and run to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 limits for harmful substances on skin-contact apparel.

Trim & hardware safety

Hooks, sliders, rings and snaps are checked for pull strength and finish; sharp-point and small-parts checks support CPSIA and Prop 65 expectations.

Need a specific protocol? We routinely work to buyer and lab test plans. See where this all happens on our lingerie factory page, or start an order through OEM manufacturing or private label.
